i4 Catholics

 

We are Catholics who live in the counties which are traversed by I4: Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Polk, and Osceola. We are part of the Diocese of Orlando, but we do not speak for any individual parish, priest, our bishop, the Orlando Diocese or the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

We are cradle Catholics, converts and reverts. some of us  are employed and others are retired. We are married, single and widowed. We are childless, or our children range in age from babies to grown adults. 

​

One thing we have in common is realizing that our society is troubled by many seemingly intractable problems.  The world is filled with indifference, violence, hunger, homelessness, loneliness, discrimination, addiction, injustice, illiteracy, and a lack of respect for the sanctity of life, just to name a few. 

 

While these problems are disturbing, they are only symptoms of something much more serious.  At its most basic level, the cause of the world’s troubles lies in its separation from God and the throes of spiritual warfare.. 

 

We cannot just sit on the sidelines watching and hoping that someone will take care of what needs to be done. God has us here in this time in this place for a purpose. It's up to us to act!
